Live a Culinary Experience in Tuscany in the beautiful Chianti. Our cooking class will guide you to the discovery of Tuscan passion for food and wine, our chef will share regional techniques, ingredients and family recipes that have been passed down over the centuries. You’ll learn first-hand how to make home made pasta, tagliatelle, gnocchi, ravioli, saltimbocca, tiramisù and much more. Our Half Day Class includes one intensive cooking session (morning or afternoon, 4 hours) with instruction (in English) and practice with our chefs, lunch or dinner following class, selected wines, all food ingredients. Upon request our chef can come to your holiday location under his/her guidance you will prepare a complete Italian meal for yourself and for your friends.


What You Can Expect

During the class you’ll learn to cook a number of basic and advanced Italian dishes as well as secret techniques that make Italian cuisine so rich and delicious. Attending such cooking class enables you to learn how to prepare multi-course Italian meals. Our chefs will teach you to prepare dishes that you can cook at home.

Times of the lesson (total time, lunch or dinner included, about 4 hours)
Presentation of the menu, a coffee with the chef, preparation of dishes, 3 course lunch or dinner (selected wine included), coffee, ammazza-caffè (grappa or amaro)

Here are examples of some of our menus:

  • Pasta: Home made pasta – Lasagna – Tagliatelle – Ragù Bolognese – Basic Tiramisù.
  • Classic: Crostini toscani, Gnocchi alla pommarola, Saltimbocca alla romana, Biscottini di Prato
  • Vegetarian:  Risotto milanese, Parmigiana, Torta della nonna.
  • Summer: Bruschetta, Pici all’aglione, Chicken or Guinea in umido, Panna cotta.
  • Fish: – Riso o Spaghetti al nero di seppia (squid ink), Guazzetto di pesce (fish soup), Biscottini di Prato.

We will consider your proposals if the season and time of preparation will allow it.

Meeting point:

Villa Saladini is located in Viale Vittorio Veneto just outside Impruneta 1 km in the direction of Greve in Chianti, near the soccer field, very close to the restaurant Battibecco and to Villa Cesi (look at the map below). The main entrance to Villa Saladini (Vittorio Veneto # 45) is closed you look the intersection with signs for Inalbi and Villa Cesi, there you find the entrance to the Villa Saladini park. From Florence by car. You go to Impruneta, then you follow the direction of Greve in Chianti on Viale Vittorio Veneto (SP 69), after a while you see on the right the restaurant Battibecco and a little further on the left you find the entrance to the park and to Villa Saladini.

From Greve in Chianti by car. You take the SS 222 (Chiantigiana Road) in direction of Florence, 1 km after Strada in Chianti you turn left in the direction of Impruneta, 1.5 km before arriving to Impruneta you find the main entrance of Villa Saladini, Viale Vittorio Veneto 45, the gate normally is closed, about 100 meters ahead on right you find the real entrance to the park and to Villa Saladini.
