According to Ayurveda, nutrition is one of the main pillars of a healthy body and balanced life.  During our cooking evening you will learn the basic concepts of the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda, as well as the main types of people (doshas), according to their physics and character. Many health issues can be avoided, if one is able to follow the nutrition, based on their personal type (dosha), and nurture their bodies according to their personal needs. 

According to Ayurveda, there are 6 main tastes represented in our food, and which might not match with our common taste perception! The effect of these tastes on our bodies is much bigger, than just the flavours recognized by our tongues. A correct combination and sequence of tastes during our meals has a major impact on our health and digestion. During the evening you will learn, which tastes (and how) are necessary for your body type (dosha), and how many tastes can be brought up by the use of spices and herbs. During the event we will prepare a delicious and balanced meal together with all the tastes, and enjoy it together at the end of the evening!

Im Laufe des Abends lernen Sie die Grundlagen der alten indischen Wissenschaft von Ayurveda sowie die drei Ayurveda-Typen des Menschen entsprechend seiner Konstitution und Persönlichkeit kennen. Laut Ayurveda ist die Ernährung eine der drei Säulen des Lebens. Mit einer richtig zubereiteten und auf den jeweiligen Ayurveda-Typ (Dosha) zugeschnittenen Mahlzeit können viele Gesundheitsstörungen vermieden werden.

Laut Ayurveda gibt es sechs Geschmacksrichtungen (rasas), die sich von den uns bekannten unterscheiden. Die Wirkung des Geschmacks ist viel wichtiger als der Geschmack allein. Die richtige Zusammenstellung und Reihenfolge des Essens machen es ausgewogen und bekömmlich und unseren Körper gesund. Sie erfahren, welche Geschmackskompositionen für Ihren persönlichen Körper-Typ am wichtigsten sind und welche Nahrungsmittel zusammen harmonieren. Bei Geschmacksrichtungen geht es nicht nur um Lebensmittel, sondern auch um Gewürze und Kräuter, die – richtig eingesetzt – unserer Gesundheit dienlich sind. Im Laufe des Abends bereiten wir ein köstliches ayurvedisches Essen zu und zeigen Ihnen, wie das Geschmackskonzept von Ayurveda bestmöglich zum Einsatz kommt.
